With the sky-high cost of gas and groceries, we can’t afford a new TRANSFER TAX INCREASE in Emeryville

If transfer tax funding goes toward preventing water pollution and supporting disaster preparedness and affordable housing, why would it be deposited in the general fund?

Our transfer tax rate was increased only eight years ago. The government has already taken enough money from voters. They should make better use of the money they have already taken instead of asking for more. This tax will strangle an already struggling housing market.

  • If Measure O passes, there could be a 108% transfer tax increase on condo complexes and apartment buildings thereby increasing rents.

  • If transfer tax funding goes toward preventing water pollution, disaster preparedness, and affordable housing, why will it be deposited in the general fund where it can be spent on anything?

On November 8, make a plan to vote to keep Emeryville affordable — vote NO on Measure O!
